Baked Piroshki were very popular in the old Soviet era. Mothers and grandmothers baked something special for everyone in the family on weekends. Yeast dough is filled with a variety of fillings. My favorites, which are now available from Elena’s Kitchen are stuffed with cream cheese, plain or with a surprise inside (fresh berries!)
