Blueberry Ponchiki. This is the yeast dough recipe, and as you can see in the sequence below, it needs to rise a little before filling, and then again before frying. These pictures show the process, start to finish for a batch of blueberry ponchiki, alongside some made with cream cheese (you can even have a combination!)
Elena’s Ponchiki are made with unsweetened fresh fruit. Serve with sugar, if desired, sprinkled on, or on the side for dipping.
