Chocolate salami is a Portuguese and Italian dessert made from cocoa, broken cookies, butter, and condensed milk. The dessert became very popular across Europe and elsewhere.
This is my version, based on the recipe my mother used to make when I was a kid, and my whole family loved it. Simple ingredients, natural and tasty, looks beautiful and is available in different varieties, from the Basic Original, as described above, or modified with additional ingredients, like crunchy peanut butter and chocolate/peanut candy chunks in my #2 Fancy Chocolate Salami, to my gourmet #4 Super Deluxe which includes Amoretto soaked apricots and almonds. The variations are listed below with their prices and descriptions.
